Dr. Jean Creasey volunteered with the NYU Dentistry Henry Schein Cares Global Student Outreach Program in Cuenca, Ecuador. Through this project, volunteers were able to provide over 1,400 exams for children and adults in Cuenca, Ecuador. In addition, they were able to provide everything from fluoride varnish to root canals to extractions on 1,275 of the patients. Dental students from Howard University College of Dentistry under the direction of ICD Fellow Dr. Ioana Bettios and faculty from the University supported two missions at Remote Area Medical (RAM) in Southern Virginia. The students provided to underserved populations of over $600K dental care with extractions, restorations, cleanings, treatment plans during visits at Emporia, VA ( June 2018), and Gloucester, VA (Oct 2018) seeing over 650 patients.
