January 29, 2019 — Dear Fellows, The International College of Dentists USA Section 2019 Annual Meeting, Convocation and Dinner Dance will be held in conjunction with the ADA FDI World Dental Congress in San Francisco, CA from September 3-6, 2019. Our Headquarters Hotel will be the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel. Registration will be managed through the ADA's website once again this year. District 13 — Fellow In Action News — Global Health Outreach in Cuenca, Ecuador

January 29, 2019 — Dr. Jean Creasey volunteered with the NYU Dentistry Henry Schein Cares Global Student Outreach Program in Cuenca, Ecuador. Through this project, volunteers were able to provide over 1,400 exams for children and adults in Cuenca, Ecuador. In addition, they were able to provide everything from fluoride varnish to root canals to extractions on 1,275 of the patients. "Had the joy of serving as faculty for the NYU dental student global health outreach in Cuenca Ecuador this past week! I’m Hoping to help bring opportunities like this to California dental schools. January 18, 2019 — San Fernando Valley Dental Society, LAPD team up to provide oral care to 'at-risk' youths September 6, 2018 Chatsworth, Calif. — In an effort to help underserved children receive basic oral health care in their community, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society and its foundation found an unlikely partner — the Los Angeles Police Department. January 11, 2019 — ICD International Student Experience Program (ISE) Report University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine Guatemala Smiles Program Grant Amount: $3332.00 Date of project: March, May, July and December 2018 Project Budget: Funds were dedicated to support student travel in 2018. The #1 reason students cannot participate in our Guatemala clinic is lack of extra funds and they are unable to afford it. The grant money was allocated equally to all 21 students who traveled with us in 2018 and each one received enough financial support ($158.66 each) to cover their in country local accommodations and transportation expenses.
