ICD MBNA VISA CARD
Several years ago when John Lathrop was the Treasurer of the USA Section, he orchestrated our entry into the affinity credit card market. Simply put, it is a way for the USA Section to have some non-dues revenue. Initially the response was very good by our Fellows, but as with all things, over time it has slowed down.
Now is the time for you to participate. The card is now a Visa World Points card. There is no annual fee. You can get various rewards or frequent flyer miles for use on any airline without blackout dates. The Section receives $1.00 for each new card and $5.00 when you renew. We also receive money based on how much you charge and how much you keep on the card each month for which you have a finance charge.
If you have a card from the original time frame and it does not say World Points, you need to initiate a change to receive frequent flier miles. Simply call the service number on the back of the card (1-800-421-2110) and they will walk you through the change. You will get a new card with a new number. If you are using your original card for automatic payments, you will need to notify those organizations of the number change, just as you would with an expiration date change.
Remember – To initiate a change to your card or to begin with a new card and support the Section, call 1-800-421-2110.
