Moldova The program that exists between the University of North Carolina Dental School and the Dental School in the Republic of Moldova was established in March of 2000 by ICD Fellows Robert Kriegsman and Stephen Mackler. USA Section Kicks Off 2017

The ICD USA Section Executive Committee kicked off 2017 with their annual business meeting. They reviewed goals agreed upon by the Board of Regents during the Denver meeting and set priorities for projects they would like to see completed by the next Executive Committee meeting to be held early in May in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The meeting was held at the Section Office in Gaithersburg, MD on January 12th and 13th.

USA Section Has A New Registrar

On Friday the 13th of January ☺ the ICD USA Section Staff and Executive Committee held a luncheon to wish the outgoing registrar Dr. Carol Turner, a "Happy Retirement" and to "Welcome Aboard" Dr. Elaine Wagner. On January 10th, Dr. Elaine C. Wagner assumed the position of Registrar for the USA Section. Dr. Carol I. Turner held the Registrar position for the past 7 years and will continue on in a part-time capacity with the Foundation to assist with several projects.

El Salvador 2016 ICD Fellows Dr. Stuart Loos (Canton, GA) and Dr. Dave Mason (Lafayette, GA) were part of the dental team that provided dental care to the underserved population of Citala, El Salvador. They worked closely with the mayor of Citala, as well as the 2030 Civic Club. Dental procedures provided were primarily extractions, amalgam and composite restorations, and root canals.
