ICD Colorado Chapter donated $250 to the Denver Fisher House for wounded military personnel. Mike Scheidt is the ICD liaison to that project. He presented the check and a basket with dental products (toothbrushes, tooth paste, etc) to their ED, Tess Levy yesterday in honor of Memorial Day.

The check from the ICD was presented to Tessa Levy yesterday at the front door of the Fisher House, on the Anschutz Campus. Ms. Fisher was very appreciative, as always, and said that the money would be used to help defray the cost of new furniture, which they have planned to purchase in the near future.

This Fisher House can accommodate 16 guests and it was one room short of full. Several of the current guests were family members of service personnel being seen at the VA hospital near Colorado Blvd and 10th.

The opening of the new VA hospital on the Anschutz Campus will greatly improve transportation issues. A new Fisher House on this campus is also planned.

This donation was proudly given to this most worthy institution.
