This academic year, I had the honor of presenting three awards to UMSOD students.
The first award was the annual George Clendenin Award which is presented to the rising Sophomore who achieved the highest academic average during Freshman year. The award this year was presented to Holly Dwyer (photo with recipient shown on the left). Holly was initially recognized at our annual business meeting in December and was subsequently presented with a plaque and cash award at the March Practice Management Study Club meeting at UMSOD.
The second and third awards were presented to graduating seniors at the UMSOD Awards Ceremony. The ICD Student Leadership Award was presented to Meredith Colwell of Wallingford, CT for demonstrated leadership as a student and for future leadership potential. Upon graduation, Meredith will join the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA. The ICD Student Humanitarian Award was presented to Brandon West of Scranton, PA for demonstrated humanitarian service. Brandon will pursue a certificate in Periodontics before also joining the U.S. Navy. (Photo taken with recipients below.)
Congratulations to our three student award winners!
