The purpose of this presentation is to outline the basics of international volunteering and present some of the opportunities available to interested clinicians. There will also be an opportunity to network with attendees who are veterans of international projects.

At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
  • Describe the types of international volunteer programs.
  • Understand the complexity of planning and executing a comprehensive clinical program.
  • Identify resources for program participation, supplying a clinical program, and potential funding sources.
  • Understand some of the limitations and challenges of such programs.
  • Meet other Fellows who have experience with these programs.
