ICD GHSA NYU LANGONE DENTAL CHAPTER
The ICD GHSA, NYU Langone Dental Chapter is pleased to report that in 2018 its members were active with global mission trips. In March 2018, a team of residents and alumni members conducted an academic mission in collaboration with the University of the West Indies-Mona Campus in Kingston, Jamaica. In July and August 2018, another team of residents, faculty members, and alumni visited the Lusaka Dental Training School in Zambia and gave lectures to dentists, dental therapists, dental assistants, and dental technicians. In November 2018, a third team of residents, faculty members, and alumni shared their knowledge and expertise at the University of Kathmandu School of Medical Sciences and the Dhulikhel Hospital in Nepal.
For 2019, other members are planning mission trip activities in Minsk, Belarus at the Belarusiastate University School of Medical Sciences; Palermo, Italy at the University of Palermo; and a return visit to Zambia at the Lusaka Dental Training School and Copperbelt University in Ndola, Zambia.
